To book your rental car, all you need is the main driver’s credit card.

When you pick the vehicle up at the office, you’ll need:

• • The main driver’s credit card, with enough available funds to cover the excess amount deposit and/or the guarantee deposit.
• • The main driver’s and all additional drivers’ original and valid driving licence(s), held for at least 12 months.
• A valid Passport or Identity Card
• The main driver and all additional driver will need to be present when picking up the car in order to be identified.

We accept almost all current credit cards as VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club.

Please keep in mind that the credit card holder’s name must match the driving license of the main driver. Remember that the original credit card needs to be shown at the counter before picking up the car.

Debit cards, prepaid cards, rechargeable cards, virtual cards or any other type of card without embossing are not accepted.

To rent a car, you need to be at least 21 years old and have held a driving licence for at least one year. If you are under 23 years of age, you will need to pay an additional “young driver” charge. Depending on the car group you might be charged the young driver fee if you are under 25 years old.

Yes, as long as the other person meets all necessary requirements as minimum age, valid driving license etc. It is necessary that this person presents a valid credit card at the counter on his/her name in order to pick up the vehicle.

If you have chosen our basic coverage, a deposit amount composed of the excess amount (depending on the vehicle group it varies between 670 € and 1100 €; the amount is indicated during the reservation process) and fuel (between € 100 and € 200) will be charged.

If you choose our Premium/Contacless coverage, only the fuel deposit will be charged, which varies between 100 € and 200 € depending on the car group.

Once finished your rental, we will proceed immediately with the return or release of the deposit. This may take several days depending on your credit / debit card company, bank and / or country of origin.

If we have noted any damage, which is not covered by the coverage of your contract, the corresponding amount will be deducted of the deposit amount, and we will reimburse the difference.

If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank of fuel, you will be charged the missing fuel plus a refuelling fee, and we will reimburse you the difference.

If you hire the car with our Premium/Contacless coverage, you will not be liable for damage to the vehicle, including tires, windscreens, glass, mirrors, towing charges, lost or damage to the keys or theft of the vehicle. Keep in mind that Premium/Contacless coverage only covers damages when you have made good use of the car. Any irresponsible, negligent or bad faith behaviour will have the consequent exclusion of coverage (see terms and conditions of the Premium/Contacless contract)

If you rent a vehicle with our BASIC coverage, the excess amount you pay as a deposit operates as maximum coverage in cases of damage, loss or theft, as long as you have used the vehicle diligently (see terms and conditions of the BASIC contract).

If you notice that you will return the car after the agreed time, do make sure you contact our rental station as soon as possible. If you are running late, with our Hertz branded vehicles we give you a margin of 119 minutes (based on the pick-up time) to return the car without additional costs. Please note that an additional rental day will be charged on your credit card once passed the 119 minutes. With our Thrifty and Dollar branded vehicles you will have 29 minutes (based on the pick-up time) to return the car without additional charges.

If you have indicated the flight number within the reservation, we will wait for you up to two hours after office closure, and an additional charge of 40.80 € plus taxes applies.

If the flight arrives later than the opening of the office, you can pick up the rental car the next day.

Our prices include local taxes, as well as airport taxes and vehicle taxes. Any extras as child seats, GPS, or additional drivers have to be paid directly at the rental office upon the vehicle pick-up. Even so, you will see all amounts reflected in the booking process. If any of those amounts does not include taxes, it will be specified.

Our vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and should be returned with a full tank of fuel.

If you don’t return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, we will refuel it for you. We will charge you for the fuel plus a refuelling service fee of 15.00 €. To avoid these expenses, it is recommended to refuel the car at the nearest petrol station before you return it to the rental office.

In case you should like to do any change on your reservation, it is necessary to cancel your existing booking and create a new one with the rates set in this moment.

When you make a reservation for a car, you normally book a “car group”, not a specific brand or model. We will then give you a car that is in this range of vehicles. On our website and during the booking process, we show a lead model as an example, so you can get an idea of what type of car you will receive.

There are some vehicles we indicate as "guaranteed models". In this case, you will receive the model and brand indicated.

There is no limit on the number of kilometres for the duration of the rental.
